On Thursday, May 19th, the voters of St. Paul decided to send the Built on the Rock project back to the Steering Committee and Church Council so they can present additional options to the congregation. There was widespread agreement on the need to build, but the spirit of the motion is that we seek to build at a lower initial cost than what was recommended, whether that means scaling back the project or making use of a phased approach.
We trust the Lord of the church to bless our plans going forward for our good and the good of his people everywhere, as he promises: "We know that in all things God works for the good of those he love him, who have been called according to his purposes" (Romans 8:18).
Please continue to pray for our congregation's gospel ministry today, tomorrow, and into the future (a.k.a. TTF: our overarching building theme), and stay tuned for a new recommendation from your building committee.
