Mrs. Adrienne Bengel has come to a decision on the call we extended to her to teach 5th grade homeroom and grades 4-8 English Language Arts (ELA). She writes:
Dear Members of St. Paul,
I am humbled by the divine call you extended to me to serve as your 5th grade homeroom teacher and 4th-8th ELA teacher. I had the opportunity to speak in depth with your Board of Christian Education chairman Brian Zwieg about the details my call entailed. I appreciate the kind words and prayers from members of your leadership team including your pastors, principal, and Board of Christian Education.
From the information gained through the call packet I received and through your website, it seems as though the ministry at St. Paul is growing. Your church and school are blessed with unique ministry opportunities. Your recent building addition also helps glorify the ministry taking place on your church and school campus.
The scope of the call you extended to me fits well with the interests and abilities the Lord has given to me in my teaching career. However, with my husband recently accepting a call to serve as principal at Riverview Lutheran School in Appleton and our two children being actively involved in school and extracurricular activities, the commute and logistics of this call would be a challenge for me and our family. For this reason, I am declining the call to serve as a teacher at St. Paul.
My prayers will be with you all as you continue to seek His guidance in filling this called position within your school. I am confident the Lord will continue to bless your ministry at St. Paul and in the greater Green Bay area.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Adrienne Bengel
